How Big is Baby at 24 Weeks? Baby is the size of a cantaloupe. Baby girl is 11.8-inch and weighs about 1.3 pounds.

Total weight gain/loss? 9 pounds since my last doctor's appointment.

Baby's Heartbeat: 154

Pregnancy Symptoms: Restless legs at night and overall tiredness

New for baby this week: Baby’s brain is growing rapidly at this time. Taste buds are also forming, and the lungs are becoming more developed and complex. The branches of the main lung are beginning to form as well as special cells that will produce surfactant. Surfactant is necessary for the air sacs to inflate easily.
