How Big is Baby at 33 Weeks? Baby is as big as a head of celery. He or she weighs about 4.2 pounds and measures about 17.2 inches.

Total weight gain/loss? 2 pounds

Pregnancy Symptoms: Backaches and having to go to the bathroom more often.

New for baby this week: Baby’s bones are hardening! The skull will still be soft at birth to allow the head to move through the birth canal. Baby is also starting to chub out by adding fat on the arms and legs. The languo, the soft layer of hair growing all over her body, is falling off this week, though some may be left on her shoulders or back at birth.
